Terms and Conditions for Package Travel

1. Scope


These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts for package travel between
Carolin Hoppe, Brückenkopfstraße 18, 69120 Heidelberg,
– hereinafter referred to as the “Tour Operator” –
and the customer.

2. Conclusion of Contract


By making a booking, the customer offers to the Tour Operator the conclusion of a binding travel contract.
The contract comes into effect upon receipt of the booking confirmation.

3. Services
The scope of contractual services is defined by the respective travel description on the website and the information provided in the booking confirmation.

4. Payment
A deposit of 50% of the total travel price is due upon conclusion of the contract.
The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to departure.

All payments are subject to the provision of a security certificate (Sicherungsschein) in accordance with statutory requirements.

 

5. Cancellation by the Customer


The customer may withdraw from the contract at any time prior to the start of the trip. The date of receipt of the cancellation notice shall be decisive.

In the event of cancellation, the Tour Operator is entitled to charge a reasonable cancellation fee, calculated as follows:

  • up to 90 days before departure: 50% of the travel price

  • up to 60 days before departure: 70% of the travel price

  • up to 30 days before departure: 85% of the travel price

  • from 29 days before departure: 95% of the travel price

  • in case of no-show: 100% of the travel price

 

These cancellation fees take into account the expected savings and the possibility of re-selling the travel services.

The customer retains the right to prove that no damage or significantly less damage has been incurred.

 

6. Cancellation by the Tour Operator


The Tour Operator may withdraw from the contract prior to the start of the trip if:

  • the minimum number of participants (5 persons) is not reached, or

  • unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances significantly affect or prevent the trip.

In the event of cancellation, all payments made will be fully refunded.

Cancellation due to insufficient participants may occur no later than 21 days before departure.

 

7. Changes to Services


Changes to individual travel services are permitted provided they are not substantial and do not affect the overall nature of the trip.

 

8. Liability


The liability of the Tour Operator is governed by the applicable statutory provisions of the German Civil Code (BGB).

 

9. Obligation to Cooperate


The customer is obliged to cooperate in the event of any service disruptions and must report any defects without delay.

 

10. Passport, Visa and Health Requirements


The customer is responsible for complying with all relevant passport, visa, and health regulations.

 

11. Insurance


The Tour Operator recommends taking out travel cancellation insurance and international health insurance.

12. Liability for Personal Belongings

The organizer shall not be held liable for the loss, theft, or damage of participants’ personal belongings during the trip.

This includes, but is not limited to, items such as mobile phones, cameras, luggage, or other valuables.

Participants are responsible for the safety and security of their own belongings at all times. It is strongly recommended that

participants obtain appropriate travel insurance, including coverage for personal belongings.

 

13. Dispute Resolution


The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR):

The Tour Operator is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

14. Final Provisions


German law shall apply.
To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction shall be the registered office of the Tour Operator.
